Looking for hope in humanity among the broken
Weathered by time
Dirty skin and eyes sunken
Sleepless city lights shining
On the voiceless living in a world so unseeing
Messages behind broken hearts and tired lives
Paper signs and open bottles
With nothing but faith in the promise of a better life
When dreams just don't suffice
Shivering under newspapers on cold moonlit nights
This city never sleeps.
